Anonymous Donor Contributes $50,000 to Support P&HCC Training Initiatives

12/19/25

Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) has received a $50,000 donation from an anonymous donor to strengthen its training program for justice-impacted populations. The funds will provide critical support for students transitioning back into the community after incarceration.

This contribution underscores the urgent need for supportive services immediately following release and highlights the importance of training opportunities that help students secure employment and financial stability.

The donation will be used to support OJT programs that lead directly to employment after release.

This gift represents a powerful investment in second chances, said P&HCC President Dr. Greg Hodges. By removing barriers to education and employment, we can help individuals rebuild their lives, contribute to their communities, and reduce recidivism.

The P&HCC Foundation will oversee the allocation of funds to ensure maximum impact for students. This initiative reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to providing education, workforce training, and holistic support for justice-involved individuals.
