Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Colin Ferguson as Assistant Vice President of Workforce & Technical Programs, effectively immediately. Ferguson has served as the Dean of STEM, Health and Applied Programs at P&HCC since 2001. Prior to that, he was Director of Enrollment Management and Accelerated Career Pathways Coordinator/Perkins Grant Administrator/Tech Prep Coordinator at P&HCC.
“Dr. Ferguson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the members of our community to this new role. We are pleased to have his expertise as we continue to support students on their journey toward a financially stable future built in part by the credentials they earn during their time on our campus,” said Dr. Greg Hodges, P&HCC president.
During his tenure at P&HCC, Ferguson has been instrumental in collaborating with faculty to meet workforce and transfer needs, streamline program offerings, and design curriculum to maximize enrollment efficiency and meet employer needs. In his new role, Ferguson will be a member of P&HCC’s leadership team and play a critical role in providing a caring campus experience for all members of the PHamily.

Ferguson earned a BA in Computer Science from Emory & Henry College, an MBA with a concentration in Finance from University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a PhD in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University.
