Practical Nursing (PN)

The Patrick Henry Practical Nursing Program (LPN) is a 3-semester certificate program. Students may apply to the program during the posted application period. The program is offered over three sequential semesters: spring, summer, and fall. The fall 2019 application period has ended. The next application period will be announced during the spring 2020 semester.

PN Curricular Plan

Students are encouraged to speak with a Nursing Advisor to review admission requirements. Find advising hours on our Health Careers Advising page.

PN-Pre-Admission Testing:

Students who have applied and meet the pre-requisites will be invited to take the ATI-TEAS Nursing Pre-Admission Test which tests reading, math, science, and English & language usage.

  • There is an optional ATI TEAS Study Manual- 6th edition available for use in the LRC in the closed reserve section. 
  • Students may make an appointment in the Math Lab, located in the PHCC Learning Resource Center (LRC).
